Australia’s opener David Warner played his 100th Test against South Africa at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Monday, December 26. Prior to the start of the game on Boxing Day, his girls sang together with him during the national anthem.

Warner shared a photo of himself and his three kids, Ivy Mae, Indi Rae, and Isla Rose, during the Test as the Australian squad lined up for the national anthems on Instagram to show his joy in the same.

“Such a proud moment for me. Having my girls by my side singing the anthem. #family #love,” he captioned the post.

Australia on the driver seat in 2nd Test

At the MCG for the second Test match against South Africa, captain Pat Cummins made the call to field first. The visitors once again gave in to pressure as a result of the unexpected move.

Despite a 112-run partnership between Kyle Verreynne and Marco Jansen for the sixth wicket, Cameron Green destroyed the lower order and claimed his first five-wicket haul in a Test match.

Warner made his 100th Test special with an outstanding century to put the Aussies ahead in the game. At the time of writing, the hosts are at 274/2 with David Warner batting at 159 alongside Steve Smith.

Australia won the first Test in Brisbane by six wickets with the contest ending within two days.
