Fast bowler Sudeep Tyagi has declared his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 33-year-old represented the Indian side in 4 ODIs and 1 T20I in his career. Tyagi updated everyone via his official Twitter account and bid farewell to cricket.
The fast bowler burst on the scene in 2009 when he played his maiden match for team India. Tyagi was looked upon as a future star who will represent Indian in all 3 formats. Unfortunately, Tyagi failed to make a mark in the blue of India and was dropped from the squad.
Sudeep Tyagi Announces Retirement
Sudeep Tyagi tasted success in domestic cricket and ended with an impressive record. In 41 first-class matches, the speedster from Uttar Pradesh picked 109 wickets. In 23 List-A matches, he struck 31 wickets and made a name for himself. Also, Sudeep Tyagi played for Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL.
He has now decided to hang his boots and posted a statement on social media to state his retirement. Tyagi is proud about achieving his dream of playing for India in international cricket. He admitted that it is a difficult decision and also maintained that he could have played and contributed more to his country.
“I want to thank each one of you who has supported me. I have achieved what is every player’s dream to represent the country and wear the Indian flag is a dream I lived. I now announce my retirement from all formats of cricket and will continue to play as and where the opportunity arises”, wrote Sudeep Tyagi.

“Cricket is my very existence and soul It is very difficult to do this but to move ahead we must let go. Having said that I could have played more and given more to the country,” he added.
Meanwhile, he also acknowledged his India captain MS Dhoni and his role models Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina, RP Singh.
“I want to thank M.S Dhoni under whom I played my first ODI. I thank my role models Mohammad Kaif, Suresh Raina, RP Singh alongside whom I had the opportunity to debut my career for UPCA,” addressed Sudeep Tyagi.
