“Suicide Attempt” – Fans React To Yastika Bhatia-Jemimah Rodrigues’ Horrible Mix-up During T20 WC Semi-Final

Yastika Bhatia run-out

Team India got off to a horrible start in the second innings against Australia in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup on Thursday, February 23 at Newlands in Cape Town. Chasing 173 runs, they lost both their openers early for just fifteen runs on the board in the third over. Yastika Bhatia’s run-out made things worse for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team.

In the fourth over, Darcie Brown bowled full delivery to Yastika Bhatia, who shuffled down the wicket, and flicked the delivery. She set off for a run, calling for a quick single. However, Jemimah Rodrigues thought about the run, and turned back to her crease. Unfortunately, both the batters were stranded at the non-strikers end. Alyssa Healy completed the formalities of the run-out as the wicket-keeper batter walked back to the hut disappointed. She managed just four runs from seven deliveries, as India was reduced to 28 for three down.
