Suresh Raina Reacts For The First Time After Pulling Out Of IPL 2020

Suresh Raina has finally reacted after pulling out of IPL 2020 owing to personal reasons, The CSK batsman took to twitter and spoke about the heinous crime meted out to his family only a few days back.

Raina was in Dubai for the upcoming IPL season when he found out about the death of his uncle. The incident took place in Punjab’s Pathankot district when Raina’s uncle and his entire family was attacked by robbers.

Ashok Kumar sustained head injuries and expired on the same night, the police had said. Verifying Kumar’s death, Pathankot Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana also stated that he had no evidence about the victim’s connection with the cricketer.

Following this shocking and unfortunate tragedy, Raina left Chennai Super Kings‘ bio-secure bubble and departed for India immediately. Since then, a lot of speculations were going around about why Raina decided to withdraw from IPL 2020 when the reasons were not disclosed.

Some reports affirmed that Raina wasn’t happy with the facilities provided to him by the CSK management which later the franchise owner N. Srinivasan had to clarify about.

Now finally, Raina has put all those speculations to rest and talked about the ill-fated incident that happened with his loved ones.

 

Raina tweeted, “What happened to my family is Punjab was beyond horrible. My uncle was slaughtered to death, my bua & both my cousins had severe injuries. Unfortunately, my cousin also passed away last night after battling for life for days. My bua is still very very critical & is on life support”.

“Till date, we don’t know what exactly had happened that night & who did this. I request @PunjabPoliceInd to look into this matter. We at least deserve to know who did this heinous act to them. Those criminals should not be spared to commit more crimes. @capt_amarinder @CMOPb”, the recently retired international cricketer wrote.

Meanwhile, according to the policemen, three to four members of the infamous “Kale Kachhewala” gang had come intending to steal, attacked Ashok Kumar and his family members at their residence in Thariyal village near Madhopur of Pathankot. During the time of the mugging, they were sleeping on the terrace of their house.
