The drama over Suresh Raina pulling out of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) seems never-ending. Reports have suggested that Raina left the bio-secure bubble after a rift with the management over hotel room. However, the cricketer has rubbished all such claims.

Raina cited personal reasons to withdraw his name from the upcoming tournament and return to India. However, CSK boss N Srinivasan’s comment ignited fire as a possible rift between Suresh Raina and Chennai management came up.

It is learnt that ever since CSK landed in Dubai on August 21, Suresh Raina was unhappy with the hotel room he was provided. He also found the strict bio-secure bubble claustrophobic and wanted a room like MS Dhoni.

Moreover, the issue with ‘Raina’s room not having proper balconies’ became a flashpoint as the CSK team quarantined itself in the team hotel. So much so that even Dhoni, a close confidant of Raina couldn’t calm the situations down.

However, Suresh Raina has dismissed all such reports. The veteran cricketer said people, who don’t want to see him succeed in CSK, fabricated the stories.

“These are all fabricated stories and anyone who knows me, knows that these are all stories planted by people who don’t want me or CSK to succeed,” Raina told NDTV.

Moreover, Suresh Raina also indicated that he might return to Chennai Super Kings and is continuing his training. However, he stressed that he needs to take care of the first-hand responsibilities first before thinking about the rest.

“You never know, you might see me in the camp again. First, I have to take care of my responsibilities here and then am ready

“It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately at the home front,” the left-hander said of his decision to leave the CSK camp in the UAE.
