Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has undergone a knee surgery at Amsterdam. The 32-year old has been struggling with a niggle for some time now. He will be out of action for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
Raina last represented Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2019. However, he wasn’t at his brutal best this season as he used to be. This was a bit of a setback for the kings as he struggled to find some form.
With this injury, Raina might miss the initial part of the Indian domestic season. The domestic schedules commence from August 17 with the Duleep Trophy. Raina plays for the Uttar Pradesh Ranji side. He also played vital knocks in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament last season.
A recent picture of his injury has been tweeted by the BCCI on their official social media handle. Wishes are pouring in for his speedy recovery.

Suresh Raina- Longtime in blues
Suresh Raina wasn’t under the radar of the selection committee after the limited-overs leg of England last year.
It will be interesting to see if the upcoming domestic season performances would lead to a comeback.
