Suryakumar Yadav Reveals Conversation With Virat Kohli Post ‘Stare-Off’ in IPL 2020

Suryakumar Yadav is living a very eventful life in the last couple of months. After having a title-winning season with Mumbai Indians, he was snubbed from the Indian squad which made a huge uproar. He also had a stare-off moment with RCB and Indian skipper Virat Kohli which became viral on social media garnering reactions from various quarters. Meanwhile, Yadav himself revealed the conversation he had with Kohli after the moment on the ground.

The match in which the stare off happened, Surya batted Mumbai Indians to victory with a 43-ball 79. Yadav recently opened up on the infamous incident, saying that things were absolutely fine after the game ended.

“It was all very instinctive. Virat Kohli is a huge cricketing figure and he plays the game very aggressively. It was an important game for both teams and whatever happened, it did during the game,” Surya told Hindustan Times in an exclusive interview.

Suryakuar Yadav also revealed the conversation he had with Virat Kohli after the end of the game.

“After the game, we laughed about it and he congratulated me on my batting. Virat’s brand of cricket is top class and the way he dominates world cricket is just amazing. I too look up to him. In the end, it was great to win the game.”

Suryakumar Yadav has been getting support from various quarters after he was snubbed from the Indian team for the Australia series. Former chief selector Devang Gandhi and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar recently lend their support to the Mumbai batsman.

“If you are honest and sincere to the game, the game will look after you. This might well be your final hurdle. Your dream of playing for India is around the corner. Stay focused and surrender yourself to cricket” said Tendulkar.
