T. Natarajan Aiming To Play All 3 Formats Consistently For India

T. Natarajan in the last few months has become a household name after his noteworthy performances. First in the IPL and then the Australian tour the left-arm seamer looked ready for the big stage and troubled some of the best batsmen in the world. Natarajan represented India in all 3 formats in Australia and looked a complete fast bowler.

Going forward Natarajan wants to represent India in all 3 formats and wants to keep improving as a bowler. The 29-year-old is currently taking a break after being part of non-stop cricket in the last five months. In his recent interview, Natarajan lauded the team management for their constant support during the challenging Australian tour.

The 29-year-old also talked about his future and pointed out that he is enthusiastic to play all 3 formats regularly. Natarajan asserted that he will be focusing on his strength and endurance level once he returns to training and will continuously manage his workload.

“I am looking to play in all formats and will maintain my workload accordingly. I am keen to work on my strength and endurance levels in the coming months. This is the first time I’ve played for six long months at a stretch in my life. Because I trained continuously during those months of lockdown, I was able to take care of the workload in IPL and in Australia”, Natarajan told Times Of India.

Meanwhile, the skilful fast bowler is striving to be fitter and stronger so that he can bowl long spells in red-ball cricket. Natarajan also confirmed that if BCCI allows then he will surely play the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Tamil Nadu.

“If I am given the go-ahead by the BCCI then I will certainly play the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In fact, I was asked to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali but BCCI wanted me to be given a break and I couldn’t go on to play for TN in the competition”, said Natarajan.
