Zimbabwe will lock horns with Ireland in their first T20 World Cup 2022 Qualifier game at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Monday, October 17. Both teams will hope to start their campaign on a winning note with a Super 12 spot up for grabs.

Zimbabwe who have undergone a revamp under a new coach in Dave Houghton are set to give Ireland a run for their money. They come into the tournament in a rich vein of form in the white-ball game, having won a T20I and ODI series against Bangladesh at home, and beating Australia in an ODI last month.

Ireland, on the other hand, come into the tournament, having played 22 T20I since the last World Cup, the conditions on offer might not be too alien and could possibly have an advantage.
