Chasing 237 on Matunga Gymkhana’s home turf was next to impossible job with most of the pundits predicting an easy win. However, Superstar Sports Club provided an excellent fightback thanks to their young left handed opener Sahil Jadhav thrashing apart bowlers with a fiery knock of 119 in just 53 balls. Sahil who smashed 8 sixes registered one of the fastest tons of the season across MCA Tournaments while he also got excellent support from Japnaam Singh (60 off 47) as both the players stitched a 184 run stand for the 2nd which almost shook the powerful Matunga Gymkhana side.

However, post Sahil’s wicket in the 16th over, Japnaam hardly received any support with wickets tumbling from the other end. With 25 runs required in the final over, even Japnaam lost his wicket in the penultimate over which brought Matunga Gymkhana back into the game as they restricted Superstar SC to 223/5 in 20 overs winning the match by 13 runs.
