Mahendra Singh Dhoni was felicitated by the Indian Cricket Team before the start of the penultimate ODI of the Sri Lanka series on playing the 300th ODI at Colombo.
The former India captain became the sixth Indian player to achieve this unique feat joining the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Yuvraj Singh among others.
The current India skipper Kohli was seen getting emotional before presenting a specially designed silver bat to the legend on achieving this height. An emotive Kohli said, “You will always be our captain,”
“What do I say. 90 percent of us started our career under you. It is an honor to give this memento to you. And you will always remain our captain,” Kohli concluded gathering a lot of cheering from his teammates.
