Team India Prepares For The First Border-Gavaskar Test Of 2024-25 With A Focused Practice Session In Perth

Team India held an intense practice session on Wednesday, November 13, as they gear up for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which begins on November 22 in Perth. On Tuesday, November 12, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal were among those who took part in the optional training session.

However, on Wednesday, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and other key players joined the practice as the team intensified its preparations for the important series in Australia.

Meanwhile, captain Rohit Sharma has yet to join the squad, with his availability for the first Test still uncertain. The ICC shared photos from the team’s practice session on Instagram, captioning the post:

India enters this series following a 3-0 whitewash at home to New Zealand in their recent Test series. With several of their batters underperforming in that series, they will be eager to bounce back in the important Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

To secure automatic qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, India needs to win the series by a margin of at least 4-0.
