Team India’s Plane Receives Unique Water Salute At Mumbai Airport Runway

The Indian cricket team, captained by Rohit Sharma, won the T20 World Cup 2024, marking their first T20I World Cup victory in 17 years. The team travelled from New Delhi to Mumbai, and upon landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the plane was venerated with a special water salute. This tribute was prepared with the aid of the airport team of workers as well.

A water salute is a conventional exercise to honour a plane. Earlier on Thursday morning, the group arrived in New Delhi and had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister hosted the group for breakfast and expressed his admiration for the success.

Team India registered a 7-run win over South Africa

He mentioned having memorable conversations with the players approximately their experiences at some point during the event, which became co-hosted with the aid of America and the West Indies.

“An excellent meeting with our Champions! Hosted the World Cup winning team at 7, LKM and had a memorable conversation on their experiences through the tournament,” Modi posted on ‘X’ along with pictures of him with the team.

This adventure became hard for the Indian team. They have been stranded in Bridgetown, Barbados, for five days because of a class 4 storm earlier than eventually making it returned to Delhi. Despite these problems, the team managed to win the final match against South Africa by 7 runs.

The Prime Minister’s Office promoted a short video showing the players accomplishing conversations with Modi, seated in a circle around him. The players wore custom designed jerseys with “CHAMPIONS” written in ambitious letters and two stars representing their two T20 World Cup titles above the Team India crest.

BCCI president Roger Binny and secretary Jay Shah also offered the Prime Minister with a customized Team India jersey proposing “NAMO” and the number 1 on it. The birthday party in Mumbai is predicted to continue with a victory parade ending in a rite at Wankhede Stadium, permitting enthusiasts to enroll in the jubilation of the team’s historical win.
