“The Best In The World Delivers Yet Again” – Social Media Buzzes Over Jasprit Bumrah’s Remarkable Performance vs Bangladesh

Team India‘s pace leader, Jasprit Bumrah, captivated fans with his bowling on Day 2 of the Test series opener against Bangladesh in Chennai. He claimed an impressive four-wicket haul, helping the hosts dismiss Bangladesh for just 149 runs.

India put up 376 on the board after they were asked to bat first, thanks to Ravichandran Ashwin’s knock of 113 runs and contributions from Ravindra Jadeja and Yashasvi Jasiwal, who made 86 and 56 respectively. The beginning couldn’t have been better for Men in Blue, as Bumrah struck immediately with the ball in his hand.

Shadman Islam was dismissed by him as an opener of Bangladeshi side in no time. He also took out Mushfiqur Rahim, Hasan Mahmud and Taskin Ahmed, ending his spell with 11-1-50-4.

Subsequent to the innings, numerous fans as well as cricketers commended Bumrah via social media as he delivered an excellent bowling display. A few of these top comments are as follows:

“401* international wickets and still going strong. Jasprit Bumrah – the greatest there is, was, and will ever be,” a fan wrote.

“Jasprit Bumrah’s Test stats for 2024: 2/25, 6/61, 2/28, 4/41, 6/45, 3/46, 1/54, 1/18, 0/51, 2/38, 4/50. #INDvBAN – What an incredible bowler!” praised another fan.

“Having Bumrah is like having a cheat code,” added someone else.

Bumrah claimed four wickets in the innings, while Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, and Ravindra Jadeja each took two wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah is the sixth Indian fast bowler to reach 400 international wickets

While claiming four scalps, Jasprit Bumrah entered an elite club, becoming the sixth Indian seamer to claim 400 wickets in international cricket. He accomplished this milestone by dismissing Hasan Mahmud.

The other Indian pacers who have more than 400 international wickets besides Bumrah are Kapil Dev (687), Zaheer Khan(597), Javagal Srinath (551), Mohammed Shami (448) and Ishant Sharma (434).

Bumrah debuted for Team India in 2016 and, with outstanding performances in all three formats, has become the leader of the Indian bowling attack.
