James Anderson

James Anderson

Veteran fast bowler James Anderson will play in The Hundred, the most important English T20 event, in his career at the age of 42. Manchester Originals picked him through the wildcard draft, and he will play alongside Jos Buttler, Josh Tongue, Heinrich Klaasen, Noor Ahmad, and Rachin Ravindra. This would be a new beginning in the career of Anderson, who still finds chances to continue his career in the franchise-based T20 leagues after leaving international cricket.

Anderson will be a useful addition to Manchester Originals because of his knowledge and experience. He waited 11 years to make his T20 debut early this year, playing in eight games with Lancashire in the T20 Blast, returning 14 wickets at an economy rate of less than 7.75 runs per over.

James Anderson’s Exciting New Venture

In the case Anderson plays this season, he is going to be the second-oldest player to feature in The Hundred of all time. His record speaks for itself, as he has taken 55 wickets in 52 T20 matches in England. In 19 T20 Internationals between 2007 and 2009, Anderson played 19 matches and took 18 wickets at an average of 24.11. His County Championship campaign is successful as well, with 11 wickets in three matches at Lancashire.

The Hundred will be played between 5th August to 31st August and fans will be looking forward to seeing Anderson in action. He will make his presence felt in the tournament given his experience and prowess.

Anderson is one of the most successful fast bowlers in the history of cricket, so his contribution to Manchester Originals will be a great addition to the team. He retired the all-time leading wicket-taker when playing for England with 704 wickets in 188 Test matches and 269 wickets in 194 One Day Internationals.
