These 5 overseas players are likely to earn millions in IPL 2018 Auctions

Indian Premier League will kick off its 11th season this year. The major retentions 3 out of 5 took place on January 4 but many big players were not retained. Big overseas players like Steve Smith, David Warner, Sunil Narine, AB De Villiers were retained but many big players were left out.

The IPL clubs will be eyeing to sign big names apart from the left out 2 retentions that can happen on January 27. Here is a list of key overseas player who is expected to play a big role in the IPL Auction. The Auction ceremony will be broadcast live by Star Sports.

1. Rashid Khan

The 19-year-old Afghanistan based leg-break googly bowler, Rashid Kan is one of the main find-out last year. He picked up 77 wickets in 55 T20s and 17 wickets in 10 T20Is in the previous year. Moreover, his economy was below 6 in T20s.

He recently made his BBL debut won Man of the Match for Adelaide Strikers. He features is in the top 5 of the ICC T20I bowler-rankings. He was part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous season where he picked 16 wickets that included many big names.


2. Hashim Amla

One of the most consistent performers of the game, Hashim played for Kings XI Punjab during the previous season. He has a good track record in the Indian Premier League and has proved out to be a good opener.

He is able to play long innings for his team and thus helps both to post a good score and in the run chase. He scored 420 runs in 10 IPL innings at a healthy average of 60 in the previous year for KXIP that includes an unbeaten century. In ODIs, he has scored a total of 862 runs in 18 innings in 2017.

3. Chris Lynn

The first name which comes to mind when it comes to hitting big sixes is Big Bash League Player, Chris Lynn. He is an explosive batsman who is known for his big hitting and explosive power. He is able to consistently hit sixes over 90 meters.The Australian cricketer has scored 431 runs in 11 T20 innings in the previous year and must be in the eye of many IPL teams this time around. Lynn has played just 12 IPL games including seven last season when he averaged around 50 for the Knight Riders at a sizzling strike rate of around 180.

 

4. Dwayne Bravo

The West Indies all-around will look forward to getting back in the yellow jersey. He is expected to be signed by CSK but other clubs will also be eyeing to sign him. He can easily hit big sixes and boundaries and is one of the best T20 bowlers on the power-play and the death overs.

He can be a marquee player in the tournament and has proved it so many times in the previous editions of the IPL. He picked up 36 wickets in 23 T20s last year and was part of the Caribbean Premier League winner, Trinbago Knight Riders this year. He recovered from his injury during IPL to play CPL and the Bangladesh Premier League.

5.Chris Gayle

One of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball, Chris Gayle came as a surprised when Royal Challengers Bangalore did not retain him on January 4. He has got excellent batting skills and can change the dimension of the game from the early start.

He has got an amorous amount of experience in the last 10 season of the Indian Premier League. He recently took Rangpur Riders to victory in the Bangladesh Premier League with his unbeaten century in the league final. He will be eyed by many clubs in the IPL Auction that will take place on January 27.
