“They Are Ruining Us” -Bhuvneshwar Kumar Impressed By The Outstanding Form Of SRH Batters In IPL 2024

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opening bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, humorously remarked that their batters are pampering the bowling side by consistently achieving high scores in IPL 2024. He expressed concern that the bowlers might feel the pressure if the batters fail to perform on any occasion.

The Sunrisers’ top-order has been in exceptional form, registering three scores of 250 or more this season. The Orange Army surpassed Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL record total of 263 by posting 277 against the Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad.

In an interview with the host broadcaster following their 67-run victory over the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, Bhuvneshwar remarked that their batting lineup is performing admirably for the first time in many years. As reported by ESPN Cricinfo, he stated:

“For so many years, this is possibly the first time our batting is clicking so much. As bowlers, we are happy to take the backseat and let the batters do their work and happy do defend so many runs.”

“Honestly, they are ruining us; if one of the games we score 180-200 mentally, it will be tough for us bowlers to defend those. But great to see the way they are batting.”

During Saturday’s match against the Capitals, the Sunrisers continued to break records as openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma achieved the highest T20 powerplay score of 125. They totaled 266/7 in 20 overs and ultimately secured victory by 67 runs.

“He is someone who keeps working hard” – Bhuvneshwar Kumar views on T Natarajan

Bhuvneshwar also commended T Natarajan, describing him as the unheralded hero of the team following his impressive spell of 4-1-19-4 against the Capitals. The 34-year-old further remarked:

“We know how good he is when it comes to Yorkers. He is someone who keeps working hard, a silent guy who goes unnoticed most of the times. But he is a star for us for so many years playing for SRH. We know how important he is for us, he is truly a match-winner.”

With five victories secured, the Sunrisers have now climbed to the second position on the points table.
