This Indian Cricketer is now the assistant manager of Reserve Bank of India

The 29 years old Nagpur boy, who once failed to crack a constable’s job a decade ago, has now been appointed as the assistant manager of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) at the Nagpur office.

The spearhead of the Indian pace bowling attack has completed all the formalities before joining the team that left for Sri Lanka to play 3 Tests, 5 ODI’s and a T-20. Tilak Yadav, Umesh’s father always wanted him to have a government job. This job fulfilled a long pending dream of his father and his family and they were ecstatic after hearing the news.

“The talks were on before the Champions Trophy. He had met RBI officials before leaving for England in May. The officials gave a go ahead to his appointment in sports quota but due to national duties he couldn”t complete formalities,” a source revealed.  The cricketer and the RBI officials were in talks for quite some time and things got finalized on Monday, July 17.

When Umesh was called up for the Vidarbha camp back in 2008, the then captain of the team, Preetam Gandhi took him to the Air India where he got his first contract as a job, however, despite doing well, Air India refused to give him a permanent job.

“He should have got a permanent job straight away but things didn”t work out. He always wanted to represent a reputed organization. That was the reason he didn”t make any hurry. Now, he has got what he deserved,” the source added. Although, the speedster doesn’t need a permanent job now, as he is one of the important members of the Indian team now in all the three formats of the game.

Reserve Bank of India is India’s central banking institution, which controls the monetary policy of Indian rupee. It started its operation on April 1, 1935. Following India’s independence, RBI was nationalized on 1 January 1949.
