This Player wants to Represent CSK In IPL 2018

Dinesh Karthik has expressed his joy over CSK’s return to Indian Premier League (IPL) after serving a ban for two years and desires to play for CSK in the next edition of the franchise based tournament.

The 32-year-old wicket-keeper batsman, who has represented a number of teams like Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kings XI Punjab since its inception in 2008, hasn’t had the opportunity to play for his home side. He dreams of donning the CSK jersey in the coming year.

While talking to the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) website Karthik said, “Whenever I speak about CSK it brings a smile to my face, it”s my home team. I would love to play for them but it also depends on the team composition, I”m sure they have so many coaches preparing for the auction. If by luck I get into the team nothing like it, I”ll keep my fingers crossed for the auction.”

The Tamil Nadu based player was very happy with TNPL and its positive effects on the youngsters. “I genuinely feel this tournament helped Tamil Nadu do what it could in the white ball versions of domestic cricket. It”s a great tournament for these young boys and I want to help them in whatever way I can. It”s good to play some high-intensity matches, in front of a crowd and viewed on TV,” Karthik said when asked about how TNPL could change the fortunes of Tamil Nadu cricket.

Karthik is leading TuTi Patriots in the franchise based Tamil Nadu Premier League where his team has won four games in a row to give the tournament a great start.
