Afghanistan and New Zealand will play a one-off Test match:

A one-off Test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand will take place at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground on September 9. This location will host the first-ever Test match between the two sides, and it is also the adopted home field of the Afghanistan team.

Players like Ben Sears and Rachin Ravindra, who were trained at the Super Kings Academy, were already in India during this time. The Chennai Super Kings, who have locations throughout Tamil Nadu and abroad, are the ones who started the cricket academy. With his New Zealand teammate Sears, Ravindra, a player for CSK, had the chance to practice at the academy.

For this upcoming one off Test match Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has put together a preliminary squad of 20 players. The team has been training in India since their arrival on August 28. Before selecting 15 men for this solitary test match, player performances will be evaluated by the board.

New Zealand will then face India in a three-match Test series beginning October 16. The Black Caps will then fly to Sri Lanka for three T20Is and three ODIs.
