1. Sachin Tendulkar (1989 -2013, India)

Sachin Tendulkar scored a total of 100 centuries in International cricket comprising 51 test centuries and 49 ODI centuries. He made his Test debut on 15 November 1989 vs. Pakistan and ODI debut on 18 December 1989 vs. Pakistan.  He is the only cricketer in the world to score a century of centuries in International cricket. He played his last test against West Indies on 14 November 2013 and last ODI against Pakistan on 18 November 2012. Tendulkar had scored a total of 34,357 runs in 664 International cricket matches.  He scored the most wait 100th century on 16th March 2012 against Bangladesh in Asia cup.

Ricky Ponting has scored 71 centuries in International cricket that consists of 41 test centuries and 30 ODI centuries. He is regarded as one of the greatest batsman and best captain in the golden era of the International cricket.  He made his Test debut and ODI debut on 8 December 1995 vs. Sri Lanka and 15 February 1995 vs. South Africa respectively.  He is one of the only four players to score 13000 plus test runs in International cricket. He scored a total of 27,082 runs in 543 matches across test and ODI cricket formats. He played his last test and ODI on 3 December 2012 vs. South Africa and 19 February 2012 vs India respectively. He is the only cricketer in the world to be a part of 100 test match wins.

Kumar Sangakkara has scored a total of 63 International centuries comprising 38 test centuries and 25 ODI centuries.  He made his Test debut, ODI debut and T20Idebut, on 20 July 2000 vs. South Africa, 5 July 2000 vs. Pakistan and 15 June 2006 respectively. Regarded as one of the most polished and prudent of the batsman in cricket, he has scored a total of 28,016 International runs across all the formats of the cricket. He played his last test, ODI and T20Ion 20 August 2015 vs. India, 18 March 2015 vs. South Africa and 6 April 2014 vs. India respectively. Currently, he is the second highest run scorer in ODI cricket and fifth highest run scorer in Test cricket.

4. Jacques Kallis (1995 – 2014, South Africa)

Jacques Kallis has scored 62 centuries of which 45 tests centuries and 17 are ODI centuries. He made his Test debut and ODI debut on 14 December 1995 vs. England and 9 January 1996 vs. England respectively.  Kallis is regarded as one of the game’s best all-rounders and has scored 24,868 runs and scalped 565 wickets.  He played his last Test and ODI on 26 December 2013 vs. India and 12 July 2014 vs. Sri Lanka. He is one of the few test cricketers to have a batting average over 50 and exceeds bowling average by 20 or more in test cricket.

5. Mahela Jayawardene (1997- 2015, Sri Lanka)

Mahela Jayawardene has scored a total of 54 centuries in International cricket comprising of 34 test, 19 ODI, and 1 T20Icenturies. He made his test, ODI and T20Idebut on 2 August 1997 vs. India, 24 January 1998 vs. Zimbabwe and 15 June 2006 vs. England respectively.  He is applauded as a master of playing spin bowling and is one of the few batsmen to have a batting average over 50 in tests and 30 in ODIs. He has scored a total of 25957 runs across all the formats. He played his last test, ODI and T20Ion 14 August 2014 vs. Pakistan, 18 March 2015 vs. South Africa and 6 April 2015 vs. India respectively. His highest score of 374 against South Africa is the highest individual score by a right handed batsman in the history of International test cricket.

6. Brian Lara (1990-2007, West Indies)

Brian Lara has scored a total of 53 International centuries of which 34 tests centuries and 19 are ODI centuries. He made his test and ODI debut on 6 December 1990 vs. Pakistan and 9 November 1990 vs. Pakistan respectively. His highest score of 400 not out vs. England is the highest individual score in the history of test cricket. He played his last test and ODI on 27 November 2006 vs. Pakistan and 21 April 2007 vs. England respectively. He also shares the test record (with George Bailey) to score highest runs off an over by scoring 28 runs off an over by Robin Peterson of South Africa in 2003. He is the only batsman to score 500 plus runs in an inning in the history of first class cricket.

Hashim Amla has scored a total of 51 International centuries comprising of 26 test centuries and 25 ODI centuries. He made his test, ODI and T20I debut on 28 November 2004 vs. India, 9 March 2008 vs. Bangladesh and 13 January 2009 vs. Australia respectively.  Regarded as of the greatest modern era cricketers, he is the only batsman since Ricky Ponting to head both the test and ODI rankings at the same time in the latest ICC charts. He scored a total of 16,537 runs as of now across all the formats. He lastly played test, ODI and T20I on 27 July 2017 vs. England, 11 June 2017 vs. India and 17 February 2017 vs. New Zealand respectively. He is the fourth cricket player to score a century against all the test playing nations. He became the fastest cricketer to score 7000 ODI runs – 11 innings quicker than Virat Kohli and on 3 June 2017, he became the fastest to score 25 ODI centuries again 11 innings quicker than Virat Kohli.

8. Rahul Dravid (1996 – 2012, India)

Rahul Dravid has scored a total of 48 International centuries of which 36 tests centuries and 12 are ODI centuries. He made his Test debut on 20 June 1996 vs. England and ODI debut on 3 April 1996 vs. Sri Lanka. Hailed as The Wall of Indian Cricket, he has scored a total of 24,177 runs in test and ODI format together. He played his last test and ODI on 24 January 2012 vs. Australia and 16 September 2011 vs. England respectively. He is the only player till date to score a century in all the ten test playing nations. He was never out for a Golden Duck in test cricket which is a unique record held by him.

9. Virat Kohli (2008 – present, India)

Virat Kohli as of now has scored a total number of 45 centuries consisting of 17 test centuries and 28 ODI centuries in 296 matches -325 innings. Renowned as King Kohli by Indian cricket fanatics is described as one of the game’s best batsmen in modern day cricket by many great cricketing personalities. He made his Test debut on 20 June 2011 vs. West Indies, ODI debut on 18 August 2008 vs. Sri Lanka and T20I debut on 12 June 2010 vs Zimbabwe.

Current captain of The Indian Cricket team has scored a total of 14,621 runs to date across all the formats. He is the only batsman in the world to score 1000 or more runs in ODIs for four consecutive calendar years.

He played his last test on 3 August 2017 vs. Sri Lanka, last ODI on 6 July 2017 vs. West Indies and last T20I on 9 July 2017 vs. West Indies. In T20I world records, he is the fastest batsman to score 1000 runs, most runs in a calendar year and most number of the fifties in the format. He also holds the record for scoring the most number of runs in a single tournament of both World T20 and IPL.

AB de Villiers has scored a total of 45 centuries consisting of 21 test centuries and 24 ODI centuries in 404 matches-462 innings. Regarded as Mr.360 degree batsman due to his amazing batting style, he has scored a total of 18,996 runs across all the formats. He made his test, ODI and T20I debut on 17 December 2004 vs. England, 2 February 2005 vs.

England and 24 February 2006 vs. Australia respectively. He holds the record of scoring the world’s fastest 50, 100 and 150, the fastest test century by a South African and a fastest T20I half-century by a South African.

He played his last test, ODI and T20I on 22 January 2016 vs. England, 11 June 2017 vs. India and 25 June 2017 vs. England respectively. He is the fastest player to score 9000 ODI runs and he scored all his 24 ODI centuries at a strike rate greater than hundred.
