Despite a decent total of 190, the Indian Batting lineup still felt short of 20-30 runs when the likes of West Indian hitters came into the limelight. Virat Kohli opened the innings for India with Shikhar Dhawan and provided the team a great start.

However, Virat and Dhawan were sent back to the pavilion in the same over. Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan managed to put on 39 and 23 runs on the board for Team India respectively.

Dinesh Karthik proved to be the highest run scorer for Team India with 47 runs off just 29 balls. India lost their momentum after Karthik”s wicket.   However, the skipper felt that the target should have gone up to 220-230 and they were 25-30 runs short which cost them the match.

Indian Cricket Team’s fielding, as well as bowling, has been shocking not only for the players on the field but also for the fans. The destructive Evin Lewis was dropped a couple of times which resulted in him scoring a massive total 125 runs. It was one of those rare occasions where MS Dhoni missed the stumpings. To sum up all these, it was a disappointing day for Indian bowlers and fielders.

“And in the field as well, we dropped a few chances and if you don’t grab them you don’t deserve to win,” Kohli said after the match.
