Rohit Sharma has found himself in a new controversy immediately after joining the Indian team ahead of the third Test. He along with his Indian teammates ordered beef at Secret Kitchen Chinese restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne after which he has founnd himself amidst an unwanted controversy. Meanwhile, to add to that there was also reports of a possible bubble breach from the crickters which ultimately the BCCI has denied.

It all started after a random Twitter user shared pictures of Team India players, comprising Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw and Navdeep Saini, and claimed to have paid their bill as well as hugged Pant during his interaction. While he denied hugging Pant, later on, CA and BCCI were alerted regarding the Indian players’ recent visit and to look into any possible breach of the strict protocols.

 The picture of the bill got viral on social media and Rohit Sharma and co have been constantly trolled since then. There are various kinds of sentimental comments coming in after they ordered beef at lunch.

1) Rohit Sharma Likes a Tweet, Dislikes Anushka Sharma

During India’s tour of England in 2018, Anushka Sharma was involved in a huge controversy. The Indian team, along with the support staff, visited the High Commissioner of India in London. However, Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka also tagged along and was seen with the team.

Anuskha posed for the picture in the front row while vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane stood at the back which was not taken on a good note by many. Meanwhile, a random fan reacted to the picture on Twitter saying “@ImRo45 void is filled up by @AnushkaSharma ???? I believe WAG’s are not allowed till 3rd test. Different rules for different players!”. Rohit who was not a part of the Indian squad for the tour, liked the tweet stirring up controversy.

2) Likes a Post Which said KL Rahul is ‘Overrated’

Rohit Sharma ended as the highest run-getter in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Soon after he was dropped from the Test squad for Windies tour, where KL Rahul was picked over Rohit as the first-choice opener. 

However as things turned out, KL Rahul did not have a good series which gave Rohit a chance to hit him back. Thus, he liked an Instagram post that wrote that KL Rahul was overrated sparking yet another major controversy.

3) Rohit Sharma Unfollows Virat Kohli On Twitter

After India’s exit from the 2019 World Cup losing to New Zealand in the semi-final, Rohit Sharma reportedly unfollowed Virat Kohli onn Twitter. Once the news came out in public, reactions started pouring in on Twitter. Over the years, both Rohit and Virat have been good friends, but Rohit unfollowing the India skipper on Twitter started speculations of a rift between the two of them.

4) Rohit Sharma Unfollows Anushka Sharma on Instagram

Soon after unfollowing Virat Kohli on Twitter, Rohit unfollowed Anushka Sharma on Instagram which kickstarted yet another controversy. This was another major social media controversy that Rohit Sharma was involved in. All of it started with reports of a rift between Rohit and Virat after India’s 2019 World Cup exit. 

Meanwhile, Anushka decided to react to this with a post on Instagram which stated. “A wise man once said nothing. Only truth can shake hands with silence in a mess of false appearances…” she wrote soon after Sharma unfollowed her. 

5) Rohit Sharma’s Cryptic Tweet Before Windies Series in 2019

After India’s exit from the World Cup, there were reports of a rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The Indian skipper denied such claims by stating them as ‘baffling’ and ‘ridiculous’.

Just when things looked like being sorted between the two, Rohit Sharma’s cryptic tweet fuelled the controversy. “I don’t just walk out for my Team. I walk out for my country,” he wrote on Twitter. 

This was a reply to Virat’s statements on the rift where he said, “We are feeding off lies, we are overlooking facts. We are turning a blind eye to all the good things that has happened and we are creating fantasies and scenarios in our head and want to accept that this is the truth”.
