It Will Be A Tough Call To Pick Wicket-Keeper For Adelaide Test – Hanuma Vihari

Team India will have a healthy problem leading to the Adelaide Test with both Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha hitting the strides with the bat. Star batsman Hanuma Vihari believes Saha and Pant are in good form and it will be a tough call for the team management to make as to who will be the wicket-keeper.

Saha played a valuable knock in the first warm-up game, saving India from a humiliating defeat. On the other hand, Pant made a merry against the Australian bowlers in the final practice game scoring a 73-ball century which included nine fours and six over-boundaries.

Pant and Saha are in good form – Hanuma Vihari

Hanuma Vihari’s comments came after India’s three-day day-night practice game against Australia A ended in a draw here at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday.

“Healthy competition is always good for the team and I feel, for every spot, we have good competition. It all depends on team management as to whom they decide to pick. I feel both of them are looking in good form so it will be a tough call and a good headache,” Vihari said while answering an ANI query in the virtual post-match press conference.

Meanwhile, Hanuma Vihari also scored a fine hundred alongside Rishabh Pant to gain confidence ahead of the first Test. Apart from hitting a century, Vihari bowled seven overs during Australia A’s second innings and picked the wicket of Alex Carey (58).

Speaking on his bowling performance, the cricketer from Andhra feels he is in a good space and is ready to step up whenever asked to bowl.

“I think I am bowling decently. Ajinkya asked me to bowl and I was happy to do it. I think I did pretty well and getting a wicket is a bonus,’ Vihari concluded.
