Australian batter Travis Head and his partner Jess Davies survived a horrifying emergency landing of a plane on Friday night. The couple was returning back to Australia after spending their holidays in Maldives.

Jess Davies posted several pics of this emergency landing on her Instagram story. She also described the timeline of this incident. Jess called this incident a  “Terrifying” one. Travis Head’s partner also wrote in her Instagram story that they were required to slide off the tarmac and land in an empty field.

“Terrifying , On our way home from the Maldives our plane started descending 30 minutes into our 1hour flight and we end up landing on an island 45 mins away from our destination… after our second landing attempt we slid off the tarmac into a field.” Jess Davies wrote on Instagram story.

“It was like a movie watching the people panic. And then some passengers got aggressive towards staff because they locked us in a room without water, phone signal, or any communication for 45 minutes which only scared people more.” Jess added.

“We waited 4 hours for a rescue plane” – Travis Head’s fiancée

However in the end, Jess Davies informed that they were safely rescued. “Eventually they moved us to a nicer room with seating, tv & wifi. We waited 4 hours for a rescue plane and provided accommodation in Male but we are totally fine.” She wrote.

The couple are expecting their first child in September. Travis Head was the biggest hero of Australia’s Ashes win in the 2021-22  season. Head scored 357 runs in six innings at an amazing average of 59.50. He scored two centuries and emerged as the top run scorer of Ashes 2021-2022.
