India and Mumbai pace bowler Tushar Deshpande is likely to be sidelined for another two to three months by a recurring ankle injury. The 29-year-old had surgery in London in September last year due to the problem and it seems that he has relapsed. This poses a major blow to Deshpande’s aspirations to regain his place in the Indian cricket team.
Deshpande’s last fielding appearance was during India’s series in Zimbabwe in July 2024. His absence will be sorely missed from the game and his fan base will remain anticipating his comeback.
The pace bowler is expected to receive treatment as well as go through some rehearsals in a bid to regain his health and performance. It has been said that he should take two to three months to recover, and everyone waiting on the cricket ground will be looking forward to when he is able to return to the game.
Tushar Deshpande is lined up to play for Rajasthan Royals
It has emerged that Tushar Deshpande, a pace bowler from India and Mumbai, is set for another two to three months on the sidelines due to a repeat of an ankle injury. Deshpande was operated upon in London in September the previous year due to the same problem but the injury has recurred. This development poses questions over the likelihood of him being available to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season for the Rajasthan Royals team.
They are yet to prove that Deshpande will be fit again during IPL 2025 season which starts on March 14. At the same time, Mumbai will play against Jammu and Kashmir in the next match of the Ranji Trophy on the ground of the Sharad Pawar Academy in BKC.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian batter with amazing talent and a lot of potential, is expected to play in this match and this will be a very important game for Mumbai in the tournament.
