Jasprit Bumrah on Twitter posted a thank you tweet for all his fans who gave their wishes to him and Sanjana Ganesan for their marriage. Little did he know that Twitteratis will massively scrutinise him and call him a ‘hypocrite’ as one of the photo showed the couple entering with fireworks around them.
Back in 2017 on the day of Diwali, Jasprit Bumrah had wished everyone on the occasion of lights and encouraged his fans to say no to crackers. Bumrah posted a photo with his family as he told fans to stay away from crackers as it causes pollution.
He wrote, “Diwali celebration at home! Wishing everyone a very Happy and prosperous Diwali! #saynotocrackers”

Twitter Calls Jasprit Bumrah A ‘Hypocrite’ For Using Crackers In His Wedding
3 years later some of the fans on Twitter were stunned to see the use of crackers in Bumrah’s wedding ceremony. The couple entered with fireworks all around which perhaps were used to make the photograph look more beautiful. Though, the comments section of Bumrah’s post were filled with negative replies as fans advised him to ‘practice what you preach!’.
This is not the first and certainly not the last time when an India cricketer has been heavily bashed for using crackers in their ceremony and telling fans to not use them on the day of Diwali.
Interesting even after so many negative replies Bumrah did not delete the tweet which was appreciated by a certain section on Twitter as they believe using crackers for Diwali is completely different as compared to a private wedding ceremony. Some fans on Twitter spilt hate against Bumrah and called him out for being a ‘part-time environmentalist’ only on the day of Diwali.
Here’s how Twitter reacted after Jasprit Bumrah posted a photo with his wife Sanjana Ganesan in which guests were seen using crackers at their wedding ceremony.
