Suresh Raina is one of the most distinguished players to have graced the cricket field for the Indian team in the recent past, he as a player has contributed in all three parts of the game. Whether its batting, bowling and fielding he has made his presence felt in everything aspect.
The left-hander from Uttar Pradesh made ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2005 where just like his best buddy MS Dhoni started off with brilliant duck but that did not stop him of becoming one of India’s best batting all-rounders. Despite being in and out of the national in the late 2000s, he finally became a constant pick in the ODI setup after few star buckling performances for the CSK franchise in the IPL.

Suresh Raina scored 3585 runs in partnerships with MS Dhoni
From 2009 to 2015, alongside MS Dhoni, Raina became one of the key players for the Indian cricket Team as he innings after innings notched up match-winning partnerships with MS Dhoni. In the 73 Innings, Dhoni and Raina batted together, the duo notched up 3585 runs at a healthy average of 59.60. Majority of the runs coming in successful chases for the Indian team.
But on the 15th of August 2020, right after MS Dhoni announced his retirement from all forms of the game, Suresh Raina also dropped a bomb as he too followed the path of his Thala MS Dhoni by deciding to join him in the journey. In CSK speech, Chinna Thala had followed the strides of Thala, and PM Modi had no dithering composing a letter to the brave left-hander too. All things considered, as he specifies in his letter, he had been an observer to Raina’s heavenly salvage act in Motera in an exceptionally significant quarterfinal game against Australia.
