Twitter was shocked to see Tim Paine not given run-out when the replays indicated that his bat was on the line. The Australia captain looked run-out against India at MCG but the third umpire chose to give him not out. Fans on Twitter were extremely dissatisfied with the decision of the third umpire. The Australia and India Test match at MCG has been actioned packed so far.
Team India bowlers have been on the mark from ball one and haven’t allowed Australia to bat aggressively. On a flat track at the MCG, they have executed their plans to the tee and Australia has struggled to score runs. Coming back to the Paine run out fans on Twitter raised questions on the ridiculous standard of umpiring.
Twitter reacts as Tim Paine survives a run-out
The striker Cameron Green hit a well-flighted delivery to mid-off and called Paine for a quick single. The Australian captain initially responded and then hesitate as the fielder Umesh Yadav was in business. He threw the ball to wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant and Paine hurried to make his crease.
Initially, Pant felt that Paine has made it but replays showed that he might be in trouble. The third umpire kept checking the replays as Tim Paine and the Indian team waited for the massive decision. After some time the umpire stated that he isn’t able to find conclusive evidence hence his decision is not out.
Once this happened the fans and even the commentators were puzzled as Tim Paine’s bat seemed on the line when Pant dislodged the bails. Luckily this decision didn’t cost India much as they removed Paine after a few overs. Meanwhile here’s how Twitter reacted to the shocking decision when Paine was adjudged not out.

Very surprised that Tim Paine survived that run out review ! I had him on his bike & thought there was no part of his bat behind the line ! Should have been out in my opinion

Just like with sledging, Australians decide where the line is.
In a just world, Tim Paine would have been run out for 6.#AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/S3n0f6svoT

Tim Paine was out. All the umpire had to do was use his common sense to know where the bat would have been in between the two frames. Shoddy stuff.

Paine should have been given out. That was the shadow of the bat. It was common sense if you look at all the angles. #AUSvsIND #SonySports
