There are players who make runs and then there is Virat Kohli who make truckloads of runs for fun. The Indian run machine yet again was in fine form today as he peeled off another double ton to register his sixth overall and most by any captain ever who has played the game.
Kohli was at his sublime best during his 243-run marathon knock and scored runs with the utmost of ease with an array of flowing cover drives and quick singles. He eventually got out LBW to Sandakan thanks to lapsing in his concentration which was largely due to Sri Lankan team stopping play on numerous occasions complaining about the air pollution.
Kohli Inevitably and justly was compared to Steve Smith and Sachin Tendulkar on the social media site, Twittereatis were going crazy as whole cricketing fraternity showered the praise on the captain invincible.
Here are all the reactions:

For normal mortal batsman, it's like I will practice more and do extra drills and extra effort every Sunday. For Virat Kohli, I will score a double century every Sunday. Scored one last Sunday, another one today. Kamaal Hai.#INDvSL

The Lankans stopped play and this may have disturbed #ViratKohli's momentum and concentration. Well played champion. Not too impressed with the Lankan tactics. If smog is bothering them, then Will they come out to bat now? Let's see

Yet again a Virat double hundred without a single 6. Strike rate still 85. A modern day batsmen, who prefers to get runs in classical style, through 1s, 2s & 4s.

To understand how good Virat Kohli's current form has been, try this. Before the Windies tour in July 2016, his Test career average was 44. Today it has touched 54. #IndvSL

I've got some stats for @imVkohli : 52 international tons, six of them Test doubles. And century-scoring shows uptrend ever since he became captain. He seems to revel under pressure and responsibility…
