One of the reasons behind the success of Indian Cricket Team in the longest format of the game has been the inclusion of test specialists. Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have been the specialists in the batting department while Ishant and Ashwin have been phenomenal in their bowling performances in whites.

The test match stalwarts have been regularly playing for the side. Their presence coupled with the players who play all multiple formats brings a good balance to the side. It has indeed been the story that success in test cricket develops the overall cricket of a player.
