After having faced a lot of poor shows with the bat, young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant smashed a stunning hundred. He scored his fourth Test hundred on a tough track that was constantly helping the pacers. Moreover, he hardly got support from the other hand in the ongoing third Test between India and South Africa.

With the series being equalled at 1-1, the winner of this match will be a series winner too. Meanwhile, Pant has faced a lot of backlash for scoring a three-ball duck in the last game. However, the swashbuckling batsman silenced all his critics once again with a stunning century at the Newlands.

Moreover, with this, he also became the first overseas wicketkeeper-batsman to score Test centuries in Australia, England, and South Africa as well. Rishabh Pant, who scored 27 in India’s first innings, came out to bat in the middle in a critical situation. India were struggling at 58/4, leading by 71 runs, after losing Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane very quickly within the first 15 minutes on Day 3 as well. Pant, however, joined the skipper Virat Kohli and they both steadied the ship, adding 96 runs for the fifth wicket.

Soon after, Kohli got out to Lungi Ngidi for 29. Pant then batted with the tail-enders and took India’s lead over 200 runs, along with his hundred.

Here is how Twitterati reacted to Rishabh Pant’s century:
