Two Indians Included In ICC ODI Team Of Year For 2022

The International Cricket Council announced the ICC ODI team of 2022. There were some great performances in the ODI format last year.

Babar Azam has been named as the captain for his consistent performance with the bat in 2022. He showed his class with 679 runs from 9 matches (9 innings) with 3 centuries and 5 half-centuries to his name including a best of 114.

Travis Head also showed consistency with 550 runs from 9 matches (9 innings) including 2 centuries and 3 half-centuries. He registered his best score of 152. Shai Hope performed brilliantly in ODI cricket for West Indies with 709 runs from 21 matches (21 innings) including 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries.

Shreyas Iyer was the leading run-getter for Team India in 2022. He made 724 runs from 17 matches ( 15 innings) with 1 century and 6 half-centuries to his name, with the best score of 113 not out.

Tom Latham has been included in the team for his consistent performance in ODI cricket for 2022. He featured in 15 matches (13 innings) with 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries to his name with a career-best score of 145 not out against India.

Sikander Raza showed his abilities with the bat in 2022 for Zimbabwe. He scored 645 runs from 15 matches (15 innings) including 3 centuries and 2 half-centuries to his name, with the best score of 135 not out.

Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz showed his skills with his maiden ODI century against India in the 2nd ODI and also steered Bangla Tigers to a famous 1 wicket in the first match of the series. He grabbed 24 wickets from 15 matches at an economy of 5.44 runs per over.

West Indies pacer Alazzari Joseph looked impressive in 2022. He grabbed 27 wickets in 17 matches at an economy of 4.61 runs per over. Mohammed Siraj was the leading wicket-taker for Team India in 2022 with 24 wickets from 15 matches at an economy of 4.62 runs per over.

Trent Boult impressed with his style of bowling with 18 wickets in 6 matches going at an economy rate of 3.98 runs per over. Adam Zampa showed his class for his side, being the leading wicket-taker with 30 wickets from 12 matches going at an economy rate of 4.99 runs per over with 1 5 wicket haul.
