The Indian Under 19 Team will look to retain the title that they won in 2022. Under the captaincy of Uday Saharan, they have been clubbed with Ireland, the United States of America, and Bangladesh. They play their first match on 20th January against Bangladesh.

They have a lot of practice with the Asia Cup tournament and other matches before the main tournament. This Indian team has lots of youngsters who can prove their worth against top-quality teams and win another Under 19 title.

Here we look at the 3 Indian Players To Look Out For In the Under 19 World Cup 2024

  1. Uday Saharan

Uday Saharan will be leading the squad and hoping to provide momentum while batting. He is currently the most senior member of team when India would face Bangladesh in the opening match of the tournament against Bangladesh on 20th January 2024.

Before this tournament, Uday Saharan made a superb 74 off 104 balls against Australia while making 50 off 64 deliveries in the two warm-up games. He would be looking to lead from the front and help the Indian team post or get the team out of trouble.

His performances will be key while batting and in the captaincy front that would help the Indian team a lot in the league stages and tournament going ahead.

  1. Arshin Kulkarni

Arshin Kulkarni is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and is a decent right-arm pace bowler who can create bounce. He will be a handful on South African pitches that offer pace and bounce in the first few overs.

His batting abilities prove to be a decent contribution as he can hit big shots and put the bowlers under immense pressure. He was picked by the Lucknow Super Giants franchise during the IPL 2024 auction. In the last 5 innings, Kulkarni has scored 206 runs with a strike rate of 163.51.

He will play a key role in helping Team India with all-round abilities that would put enough pressure on the opponent team.

  1. Raj Limbani

Raj Limbani is another youngster who will play a key role for the Indian team while bowling. He will put the batters under pressure with his consistent lines and lengths. During the Asia Under 19 Cup played in UAE, Limbani grabbed 7 wickets against Nepal bowling them out cheaply.

With the pitches in South Africa helpful for the pace bowlers, Limbani would play a key role in picking early wickets and not allow them to score runs in the first 10 overs. He finished as the leading wicket taker in the Under 19 Asia Cup tournament picking 12 wickets from 4 matches at an economy of 3.82 with best figures of 7 for 13.
