VIDEO: Lendl Simmons bats with one pad; scores slowest fifty in T20

For the very first time ever in broadcasted cricket, a cricketer batted with one pad in a competitive game. This was the 10th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2016 played between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots which saw something peculiar.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots opening batsman Lendl Simmons did this daring act. Simmons batted the first 12 overs of the innings with both the pads and then decided to leave apart one pad, batting the last 8 overs of the match in this unusual mode and also scored a half-century as well.

However, he completed his half-century in 60-balls, the slowest being so far in the format. Simmons was finally run out by Martin Guptill as his side posted 108 in 20 overs. Guyana won the match comfortably by chasing down 109 runs in 16.2 overs.
