His actions and performances on the field does not allow a cricket fan to believe this statement, but yes, the right-handed devastating batsman is on the cusp of ending his international career.

The Black Caps skipper was at his brutal best today in Christchurch, reached three figures mark from just 54 balls in the 2nd  and final Test of the New Zealand-Australia series. McCullum came into bat when the scorecard looked 32-3 (19.4 overs). And what happened next was all sheer class and awesome ability which etched his name in record books.

In his 101st and final Test, McCullum broke the previous 56-ball record held by West Indian Sir Vivian Richards and Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq. McCullum then went on to compile an innings of 145 runs in his 79-ball stay at the crease which had 6 sixes and 21 fours.
