VIDEO: Murali Vijay”s latest batting style in TNPL goes viral

Murali Vijay”s left-handed batting in today”s game against Dindugal Dragons has captured some attention. He was seen trying out this in Ashwin”s over during the game. The veteran scored a brilliant 99 off just 62 deliveries for his side Trichy Ruby Warriors today.

This fifty takes Vijay to a tally of 258 runs in the series. This is also his third consecutive half-century in the process. Vijay”s knock helped the side set a target of 179 for Ashwin & Co.

A video of the same is trending on several social media platforms. Trying for a switch hit, Vijay”s stance looked Chandrapaul-esque.

However, Vijay”s efforts went in vain as they couldn”t show some discipline in bowling. N Jagadeesan, with a brilliant century, helped the dragons register their fifth victory in the league.  On the other hand, Vijay”s side is yet to register a single victory in the tournament. All of his knocks went in vain and the side is looking for some boost.

Vijay – Not a part

Murali Vijay hasn”t been named for the tests against the carribiens. Though the opener wasn”t a part of all the games in England last year, he was given a go in the Australian down under. However, his inconsistency cost him the openers” slot as India tired Vihari and Mayank Agarwal as openers in consecutive games.

Can Vijay make some statement with some knocks in the tournament? Will he regain his test spot on the side?
