Playing for India Under 19 side, Arjun Tendulkar enjoyed the moment of picking his first international wicket in the 1st Youth test match against Sri Lanka Under 19 played at Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo from 17th– 20th July 2018.

Arjun Tendulkar dismissed Sri Lankan left-handed opener Kamil for 9 off 11 balls in the 3rd over. Arjun Tendulkar got the opening wicket for India Under 19 team. It was a great delivery by Arjun Tendulkar who swung the ball and made life tough for Kamil.

Kamil and Fernando added 20 runs for the 1st wicket in 3 overs. It was a proud moment for Arjun Tendulkar to pick his first wicket for team India. Arjun bowled 11 overs giving away 33 runs and picked the wicket of Kamil. Arjun Tendulkar was picked for the 4-day matches against Sri Lanka. The Indian captain Anuj Rawat made Arjun bowl the first over. India Under 19 bowled out Sri Lanka for 244 in 70.3 overs.


Harsh Tyagi and Badoni picked 4 wickets each. Playing his first international series at the junior level, Arjun Tendulkar looks promising with his action.

It would be a great learning experience for Sachin Tendulkar son, Arjun to work hard and make the country proud with his performances. Before this, Arjun Tendulkar has seen bowling at the Indian nets getting tips from India’s head coach Ravi Shastri.

Arjun Tendulkar has performed well in the Global T20 series in Australia played at the Sydney Cricket Ground this year. With the bat, he scored quick fire 48 off 27 balls and took 4 wickets. With his tall height, Arjun Tendulkar would be looking to improve and pick wickets against Sri Lanka in 2 youth test match.
