Virat Kohli Awarded Best Player Of The Month Of October

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was named the player of the month for October. He showed tremendous consistency so far in ICC T20 World Cup so far with a brilliant 82* not out off 53 balls against arch-rivals Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground and helped Team India win an impossible match.

Kohli then followed with an unbeaten 62 against the Netherlands and helped team India post a big total. Apart from his brilliant two knocks, Kohli produced another magical unbeaten knock of 49 from 28 against South Africa in the second T20I match at Guwahati.

His brilliance has helped India reach the semi-finals against England to be played on November 10 at Adelaide Oval.

“It is a great honor for me to have been voted the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October. Being chosen as the standout player by fans across the globe as well as the panel makes this accolade even more special for me,” Kohli said after winning the award.

“I want to pay tribute to the other nominees who performed so well during the month and also to my teammates, who continue to support me to perform to the best of my ability,” he added.

Sikandar Raza and David Miller wee also in contention for the award

Apart from Virat Kohli, Sikander Raza and David Miller were the nominees for the player of the month award for October. Virat Kohli has shown tremendous consistency and would be hoping to perform well in the semi-finals.

The Indian team will take on England in the second semi-finals on November 10 at Adelaide Oval. Virat Kohli will be looking to make great scores during a knockout match against England. Team India finished at the No. 1 position in Group 2 of the Super 12 stage with four wins and just one loss.
