Virat Kohli was straightaway in the nets after completing the mandatory quarantine period in Sydney. Kohli will be leading team India against Australia from tomorrow in the ODI series. Ahead of the 3 match ODI series, Australia captain Aaron Finch has hailed his counterpart and tagged him as the greatest ODI batsman of all time.

Kohli has mouth-watering numbers in ODI cricket which he will be aiming to improve when he comes out to bat against Australia. With Rohit Sharma missing the series, there will be extra responsibility on Kohli’s shoulder and he will be intended to produce big knocks.

Virat Kohli Smashes Bowlers In The Nets Ahead Of The First ODI Against Australia

Ahead of the first ODI at between the two sides, BCCI posted a batting session of Kohli on their official Twitter account. As usual, Kohli looked determined in the nets as he was seen fine-tuning his batting skills. The Indian captain batted against both pace and spin and looked in a dominating mood.

“Timing them to perfection! #TeamIndia skipper @imVkohli getting batting ready ahead of the first ODI against Australia”, BCCI wrote in their caption.

In the nets ahead of the big series, Virat Kohli’s timing looked immaculate as he attempted every shot in the book. From his trademark Cover drive and flicks to lofted drives and square-cut against spinner Kohli unleashed his wide array of cricketing strokes. ‘

Meanwhile, Kohli hasn’t scored an ODI ton in the last one year in international cricket. He last scored an ODI century against West Indies in 2019 and since then has failed to convert his half-centuries in a big score. The 32-year-old will be surely aware of it and will be keen to register a 3 digit score in the upcoming ODI series.

Overall in 248 matches in ODI cricket, Virat Kohli has scored 11,867 runs at an outstanding average of nearly 60 including 42 centuries and 58 fifties. India takes on Australia in the first ODI tomorrow at Sydney will begin at 9 am IST.
