The men in blue are reportedly not satisfied with their official kit sponsors Nike for providing below par clothing since the last few months. This issue has been duly noted by the Board of Cricket Control of India and the authorities are not at happy with Nike. Nike has been associated with Team India since 2006.

In an interview with the Indian Express Rahul Johri confirmed that it has been raised in front of the CoA. He said, “It (Nike’s clothing) has come up for discussion in last CoA meeting and chairman CoA (Vinod Rai) took it very strongly. The team cannot have sub-standard kits and we will be engaging with Nike and he has asked to put our case strongly.”

“We have to engage with them, we will have a meeting with them (Nike) next week and try to resolve it at earliest,” concluded Johri.

However, Nike India communications head, Keerthana Ramakrishnan did not answer to emails or text messages regarding the same.
