Virat Kohli Deconstructs ‘Shot Of The Century’ Against Haris Rauf

Team India batter Virat Kohli revisited his mesmerizing six off Haris Rauf that he hit during the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The shot has been dubbed as the ‘Shot of the Century’ by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The right-handed batter powered India to a 4-wickets win in the match.

Team India was in a spot of bother chasing 160 runs. They lost four wickets with just 31 runs on the board. Kohli put on a brilliant partnership with Hardik Pandya to help India get out of trouble. During the innings, Kohli slammed two stunning sixes off Haris Rauf to keep with the increasing required rate. Speaking exclusively to Star Sports on ‘Believe: The Diwali Miracle’ show, the veteran batter said,

“I have seen this a lot of times, but these small things in the middle, these are very special because obviously, you have lived these moments but you haven’t seen it again. “

“Just those little moments are something that I feel very nostalgic about, and in a good way. Till this date, I don’t know how I pulled off that shot but it happened,” he added.

Virat Kohli eyes to break Sachin Tendulkar’s ODI centuries record

Team India batter Virat Kohli slammed his 49th ODI century in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match against South Africa. He scored 101 runs off 121 deliveries helping India to set a match-winning total. He equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most centuries in the format. Kohli has taken 289 ODI matches to reach to the milestone. Ahead of India’s final league game of the tournament, the right-handed batter will be keen to go past Sachin Tendulkar’s century tally. India takes on the Netherlands on Sunday, November 12 in the final league stages match of the tournament. The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will host the clash.
