Virat Kohli once again failed to covert his half-century as he was removed by Adil Rashid on 66. The Indian captain was all set but the England spinner Adil Rashid again had the better of him and sent him to the pavilion. Kohli was trying to force the ball on the offside but the ball turned and kissed the outside edge of his bat and Jos Buttler did the rest.
Kohli looked extremely disappointed but it was a delight for Adil Rashid who again removed a well-set Kohli. The Indian captain 66 from 79 deliveries and his knock included 3 boundaries and a six. When it seemed Kohli will finally reach the magical three-figure mark against the run of play he edged one straight to keeper Buttler. It was brought an end to an outstanding 121 runs partnership between Kohli and KL Rahul.

The match is currently poised with Rahul and Rishabh Pant trying to take India to a total of above 300. Talking about Adil Rashid he again kept a lid on the scoring rate in the middle overs and did not allow Kohli and Rahul to accelerate. Rashid finally got a reward for his relentless bowling when he got the prized scalp of Virat Kohli on 66.
Meanwhile, India is 231 for 3 after 41 overs as both Pant and Rahul have put the foot on the accelerator. The good finish is the need of the hour for team India as they will again need a total of around 320 runs on the board against a strong England batting line-up.
