Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya Among Others Pen Emotional Note After T20 World Cup Exit

After team India’s group-stage exit from the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021, many Indian players took social media to express their devastating emotions to the people who supported them.

The limelight was on skipper Virat Kohli, who played his last match as the T20 captain of the Indian Cricket Team. He expressed his emotions in the post-match presentation and took the responsibility for India’s embarrassing exit from the mega event.

However, Virat Kohli the Indian skipper thanked all the fans back home and around the globe who supported them throughout their journey through thick and thin.

He posted this message on his Instagram handle after India’s exit from the World Cup:

“Together as one, we set out to achieve our goal. Unfortunately, we fell short and no one is more disappointed than us as a side. The support from all of you has been fantastic and we are grateful for it all. We will aim to come back stronger and put our best foot forward. Jai Hind 🇮🇳.”

“Not the ideal World Cup result for us, but we learn and grow” – KL Rahul

KL Rahul the Indian opening batsmen alongside recently named T20 skipper Rohit Sharma also took his Social Media Handle to express his emotions to the loved ones and said:

“Not the ideal World Cup result for us, but we learn and grow. Grateful to all our fans for the love and support. Thank you to our coaches for helping us grow as cricketers. A big shout-out to @virat.kohli for being a leader who led by example and for everything you have done for us. 🇮🇳.”

He specially mentioned former T20 Skipper Virat Kohli for his contribution as the Captain of the T20 side.

“This wasn’t how we wanted our World Cup campaign to go” – Hardik Pandya

Like most other players, Hardik Pandya also took his Instagram handle to pen down note after the exit from the T20 World Cup and said:

“This wasn’t how we wanted our World Cup campaign to go. We fell short but we will work twice as hard to repay the faith and support shown to us by our fans. Thank you to everyone who cheered us on at the stadiums and everyone back home.”
