England all-rounder Ben Stokes is all praise for Team India’s veteran batter Virat Kohli, who has made a great comeback to form this year in international cricket. He expressed that the Indian cricketer has earned the right to never be written off. Kohli was going through a rough patch, however, he is back amongst runs. Currently, the right-handed batter is the leading run-scorer in the 2022 T20 World Cup so far in Australia.
Virat Kohli has been one of the most reliable batters for India in the tournament. He kicked off India’s campaign with a terrific 82* against Pakistan. In five matches, 33-year-old has scored 246 runs at an average of 123 and a strike rate of 138.98. He has slammed three half-centuries in the tournament. Praising Virat Kohli, Ben Stokes expressed that the Indian cricketer’s current form is unbelievable.
Speaking to reporters in Adelaide, Ben Stokes said, as quoted by India Today,
“Look at that form. How unbelievable it is. As you know, he had a not-so-loud couple of months and, for some reason, players like that will get written off. I’ve got no idea why. I think he’s earned the right to never be written off. You don’t produce the number and produce the innings that he does over all three formats.”
“We as players and those who have played against him a lot, you never take anything he’s done in the game before into the game he’s got there. So just lay off a bit maybe,” he added.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes expressed that Suryakumar Yadav’s strokeplay leaves the opposition scratching their head. He said,
“Suryakumar (Yadav) is fantastic; he plays some shots that leave you scratching your head. He is in great form, and I guess we should tie him down and not allow him to get on a rampage.”
Team India will take on England in the second semi-final of the 2022 T20 World Cup on Thursday, November 10 at the Adelaide Oval.
