Virat Kohli has left the shores of Australia on Tuesday after giving a pep talk to team India. The Indian captain will miss the last 3 Test match which is a massive blow to the visitors. Kohli is returning home on paternity leave to be with his wife Anushka Sharma and the rest of their family for the birth of his first child in January.
Ajinkya Rahane will be leading India in the remaining Test matches in Kohli’s absence. The Indian team was highly disappointed with the way they lost the Adelaide Test after being ahead in the first two days. Now, team India will have to raise their game without their talisman skipper Kohli in the challenging Test series.
Virat Kohli wants Team India to play a positive brand of cricket
As per a report in PTI, Kohli before leaving held a special meeting in which he advised the Indian players to express themselves ‘without any inhibition’. Kohli fired his side so that they are in a positive frame of mindset for the rest of the Test matches. Even after losing the Adelaide Test, Kohli was confident about team India turning things around and making a comeback in the Test series.

There’s no denying that the presence of Kohli will be sorely missed on the field in the last 3 Test matches. Kohli scored a fine half-century in the first innings of the pink ball Test that remained the highest score in the match. Before leaving Kohli made sure that he motivated all the young and senior players so that they can express themselves freely.
Meanwhile, it is now believed that team India is ready to make 3-4 changes are the horror show at Adelaide. Shubman Gill is expected to make his Test match debut and KL Rahul is also likely to play at MCG. The team management is also hopeful that Ravindra Jadeja is fully fit and will play as a batting all-rounder in place of Hanuma Vihari.
