Indian skipper Virat Kohli is eyeing to break a few major records in the upcoming Test series against England. One of them is overtaking MS Dhoni in the list of most wins by Indian Test captains at home. Dhoni leads the chart with 21 Test wins at home. Meanwhile, Kohli has 20 wins as India Test skipper at home. This series thus allows him to surpass the former Indian skipper. Meanwhile, India beat England 4-0 on their home soil under Virat Kohli’s leadership back in 2016-17.

The upcoming series against England is a comeback of sorts for the Indian skipper. He was back home on parental leave after the first Test against Australia. Ajinkya Rahane led India in the final three Tests and led India to a series win against the Aussies. Virat Kohli scored 655 runs in the 2016-17 series followed by 593 runs in the 2018 series.
