IPL 2020: Watch – “Aaj nahi marega shot” – Virat Kohli Sledges Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey Virat Kohli

The eliminator between the shades of red and orange took place last night at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium where Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their phenomenal unbeaten run since last five matches as they ensured that Royal Challengers Bangalore’s hopes of winning the IPL final just remains a dream yet again.

In between all this, we witnessed how Manish Pandey replied back in style when apparently Virat Kohli the RCB skipper tried to sledge the SRH batsmen during the second over of the match. It all started when the Royal Challengers Bangalore batting first were off to an unusual start as Virat Kohli who decided to open the innings in place of Finch was dismissed in the very second over of the match by Jason Holder.

In the follow-up, RCB lost back to back wickets in the form of Padikkal and Finch. It all seemed like RCB are in a spot of bother that too in an all-important eliminator. It was AB de Villiers who then came to their rescue as he notched up 56 runs taking them to a pretty average total of 131.

Aaj nahi marega shot: Virat Kohli Sledges Manish Pandey

In the chase, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Goswami and Warner were dismissed early on in the innings. That is when during the third over, Manish Pandey batting at three was a victim of a sledge by Captain Kohli where he was heard shouting “Aaj nahi marega shot” which means “He won’t hit any shot today”.

However Pandey just didn’t let this sledge affect his batting as on the very net delivery by Mohammed Siraj, Pandey pulled him over the deep kid wicket boundary for a blistering six. Which was much needed for the Sunrisers Hyderabad at that very moment as they had already lost an early wicket in the form of Shrevats Goswami.
