Virat Kohli is all set to hold a personal meeting with team India before he leaves Australia. The meeting has been decided to arrange after India’s humiliating loss against Australia at Adelaide. On Day 3 the complete Indian batting collapsed for just 36 as they registered their lowest Test score in history. Now, India’s tour of Australia is about to get a whole lot tougher as captain Virat Kohli will not be featuring in the last three test matches.

The Indian captain will return to India to attend the birth of his first child. Before leaving Kohli has chosen to motivate his side which will help them perform better in the last 3 tests. Kohli understands that test matches in Australia are never easy and that is why he will be sharing his insights with the team before he travels back home.

Virat Kohli all set to motivate team India before leaving 

As reported by The Times of India, Kohli is all set to give confidence to youngsters in the side which helps them to perform better in the series. The morale in the Indian dressing room will be at its lowest after the defeat but Kohli will be giving them the courage and some motive so that they play at the best of their abilities.

“The emphasis of the meeting will be to motivate and give confidence to the young boys for the rest of the series. Pant is most likely to get a run of seven Tests unless he fails miserably in Australia”, a source told TOI.

Team India to make 3-4 changes for the Boxing day Test

Meanwhile, Kohli was stunned following India’s batting effort after India lost the pink ball test. The Indian captain stated that the batsmen lacked intent which allowed the Australian bowlers to pick wickets. Now with Kohli not part of the test series any more team India is expected to make 3-4 changes for the boxing day Test at MCG.

Shubman Gill is expected to make his Test match debut and bat in the middle order in Kohli’s absence. Apart from that reports suggests that KL Rahul will open alongside Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw will be dropped. Rishabh Pant is also likely to play ahead of Saha and Mohammad Siraj looks the front-runner to replace Mohammed Shami.
