Virat Kohli left Australia after the first Test at Adelaide but stayed connected with the team throughout the series. Without Kohli, India stunned the entire cricketing world and won their second Test series Down under. The Indian captain who is now making a comeback spoke about India’s epic triumph against all odds in Australia.

In a recent interview on BCCI.TV alongside coach Ravi Shastri, Kohli stated no other victory is now more special than the series win in Australia. The Indian captain was extremely proud of the entire team for the character they displayed after being under pressure after the first Test.

Virat Kohli chats on India historic win in Australia 

Kohli pointed out that all the odds were stacked against team India after the team were bundled out for 36 at Adelaide. However, the side was unfazed and kept believing in themselves throughout the gruelling Test series.

Meanwhile, coach Ravi Shastri also revealed how he motivated the Indian side post the drubbing at Adelaide. The Indian coach stated that he told the side to wear the badge of 36 all-out and never forget it when they went ahead during a match. He advised the young side to cash in when they were ahead in the match and never get complacent.

Now, Virat Kohli is looking forward to the England challenge in the Test series. The two sides are in contention to play the world Test championship final at Lord’s against New Zealand. The India side will be looking to win the series convincingly and punch their tickets for the WTC finals. The two sides are currently playing day 1 of the 4 Test match series at Chennai.
